Google review QR code: free, in three steps.

Get your review link, turn it into a QR code, print it. The steps are below and cost nothing. Then paste your listing: we build the code for you, and read your newest review with a reply already drafted.

The steps and the generator are free. The trial is 30 days, no credit card, then $29 a month on Starter.

The free method

How to make a Google review QR code

Three steps, no account, no software. This is the method every generator uses; the tool further down just does it for you.

  1. Step 1: Get your review link from Google Business Profile.

Sign in to your Business Profile (search your business name on Google while signed in, or open the Google Maps app). Under Ask for reviews, copy the review link. To build it by hand instead, look up your Place ID with Google's Place ID Finder and put it after search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid= in the address bar.

  2. Step 2: Paste the link into any QR code generator.

Any generator works, including the one on this page. Pick a medium or high error-correction level so the code still scans after a scuff, and download an SVG for print (it scales without blurring) or a PNG for screens.

  3. Step 3: Print it where phones already are.

The counter, the receipt, a table tent or the invoice. Put one line under the code, such as Scan to leave us a review, so nobody has to guess what it does. Test it with your own phone before you print fifty.

Printing a sign for another platform? The scan to review sign maker lays the code out on a sheet you can print, and it reads Yelp and TripAdvisor listings as well as Google ones.

Make yours

Paste your listing. Get your code.

Paste the link to your business page. We read listings on Google, Yelp and TripAdvisor, and the code points straight at your review form, exactly like the manual method above.

The catch

What a printed QR code cannot tell you

A plain QR code is a link on a sticker. It works, and it is silent: the code goes up, and nothing ever comes back to say what it did.

Every scan lands on the same one-page funnel: how was it? Whatever the customer taps, your public review links are on the next screen. Anyone who taps OK or Poor is also invited to send you a private note first, which is your chance to fix it while they are still in the room. Nobody is stopped from posting publicly.

  • How many people scanned it

Nothing counts a scan on a plain code, so the sticker on the receipt and the one at the counter look identical whether one is working hard or not at all. A GetSetReply code lands on a funnel that records every scan.

  • Which review site they chose

One plain code opens one form. A GetSetReply funnel lists every review site you connect on one screen and records which one each customer tapped, so you learn where your customers actually go.

  • Which location it came from

Every location gets its own code and its own short link, so a three-shop owner sees three sets of numbers, not one.

Questions people ask before they print one

Straight answers, including the ones where the free method is all you need.

How do I make a Google review QR code?

Copy your review link from Google Business Profile, paste it into a QR code generator, and print the result. That is the whole method, and it is free. The tool on this page does the same thing from a link to your business page, and adds the download buttons.

How do I get my Google review link?

Sign in to Google Business Profile, open your business, and use Ask for reviews to copy the link. If you know your Place ID, the link is search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid= followed by the id. Either one opens the review form for your listing directly.

Is a Google review QR code free?

Yes. The link is free from Google and the code is free from any generator, including this page. What a plain code cannot do is report back. GetSetReply counts every scan and every review-site tap, per location, and it is part of every plan from $29 a month, with a 30-day free trial.

Can I make a QR code for Yelp and TripAdvisor reviews?

Yes. The tool above reads Yelp and TripAdvisor links too. Paste the address of your business page there and the code opens that review page. A GetSetReply funnel lists every review site you connect on one screen, so one code covers all of them.

Where should I put a review QR code?

Where a customer already has their phone out and a reason to be pleased: the counter at checkout, the bottom of the receipt, a table tent, the back of a business card or the invoice for a finished job. Add a line of text so people know what the code does, and scan it yourself before printing a batch.

Does Google allow QR codes for reviews?

Yes. Google encourages businesses to ask customers for reviews and provides the review link for exactly that. What its policy prohibits is selective solicitation: asking only the customers you expect to be positive, or discouraging the others. A GetSetReply funnel shows every customer the same public review links whichever face they tap, and simply invites anyone who had a bad time to tell you first.

What is the tracked code, and what happens after 10 days?

The tool above can mint a live GetSetReply funnel for your listing with no account. Its QR code opens a real one-page funnel that counts every scan and every review-site tap, and it works for 10 days. After that it stops counting and shows anyone who scans it a short page pointing them at your review form, so nobody is left staring at an error. Signing up claims the code permanently and carries the scans it already counted into your dashboard. It also upgrades it: we add the listing to your account, and the same printed code starts opening your own funnel, with the private note screen switched on and every note landing in your inbox with a reply already drafted. Do not print a batch of the tracked code until you have claimed it.

Can I see how many people scan my review QR code?

Not with a plain code, which is just a link. A GetSetReply code lands on a funnel that records every scan and every review-site tap, and the review funnel page in your dashboard shows both numbers per location.

What happens when a customer scans a GetSetReply code?

They see one question: how was it? Whatever they tap, the next screen carries your public review links. Anyone who taps OK or Poor also sees a short private form above those links, so they can tell you what went wrong first. Private notes land in the same inbox as your reviews, with a reply already drafted.
