How to send a review request

Review requests are one of the fastest ways to grow your rating. A small, well-timed ask can meaningfully lift your average over time.

  1. Create a contact list

Go to Outreach → Contacts and import your customers. You can upload a CSV with names, email addresses and phone numbers, or add contacts one at a time. If you have connected Square, new customers are added for you as they buy. GetSetReply stores them as a reusable list you can segment and target over time.

  2. Build and send a review request

Go to Outreach → Customer Outreach and click "New Review Request." Pick the contacts you want to reach, choose email or SMS or both, write the message with merge tags for the customer's name, then preview it and send a test to yourself before you commit. Each email or SMS costs 1 credit.

  3. Set a send window, then let it run

You can send once, or leave the request running so it goes out automatically. A send window keeps messages inside civilised hours, a per-contact frequency cap stops the same customer being asked twice, and follow-ups chase the people who did not respond. Every request points at your review funnel, so every customer lands on your public listings, and anyone who is unhappy can reach you privately first.

  4. Track results

GetSetReply tracks delivery, clicks and which reviews came back from which campaign. Check Outreach → Customer Outreach to see what is working and how many customers left a review after receiving your message.

Review requests by email and SMS are included on Professional and Enterprise. Your review funnel links, QR codes and contacts are on every plan.
