Sales dashboard

See revenue, orders, average order value, tips and your best-selling items, read from the point of sale you connect.

The Sales dashboard shows what your point of sale recorded: your revenue, how many orders you took, the average order, tips, and your best-selling items, day by day. It appears in the app's sidebar as Sales once you connect Square in Settings > Locations.

Before you begin

  • Connect Square in Settings > Locations. You sign in to it and approve access, and GetSetReply reads your orders from then on.
  • Have your locations set up in GetSetReply with their street addresses, so each store in your point of sale can be matched to the right one.

What connecting a point of sale adds

  • Sales in the sidebar, the page this guide describes.
  • Your customers, added to your contacts automatically, and automatic review requests that go out after each sale.
  • Coupons and the beta features that read your sales, such as the Menu cost model.

Read your sales

Open Sales in the sidebar. The page is titled Sales Analytics. Press 7d, 14d or 30d at the top to choose the last 7, 14 or 30 days, and pick a location chip to see one location on its own.

Under the cards:

  • Daily Revenue draws one bar per day. Weekend days are a darker shade, so a strong or weak weekend stands out. Point at a bar to see that day's figure.
  • Top Selling Items lists your best sellers by how many were sold, with the revenue each brought in.
  • Daily Order Volume draws the number of orders each day.

How sales are matched to your locations

Your point of sale account can hold several stores. GetSetReply finds each one and matches it to one of your locations by its street address, so each location's sales show under its own chip.

  • A store whose address clearly matches a location is linked automatically.
  • A store that might match is never linked on a guess. It waits for you under Needs confirmation.
  • A store with no matching location can be added as a new location.

When GetSetReply finds stores you have not set up yet, a banner on Sales says We found followed by the number of locations, with a Review & add button.

  1. Press Review & add. Locations found in your POS opens.
  2. Under Matched automatically, check each link. Press Change… to link a store to a different location, or to unlink it.
  3. Under Needs confirmation, press Confirm to accept a suggested match, or Change… to pick another location.
  4. Under Add as new location, press Add location for each store you want to track. You can connect its review sites as you add it, or choose Add without review sites. Press Dismiss for a store you do not want.

Linking a store moves its past sales to that location too, so its history is complete from the start.

Limits and caveats

  • Unassigned sales. Orders from a store that is not linked to a location show under an Unassigned chip, and are counted when you view all locations. They move to a location as soon as you link the store. If you delete a location, its sales go back to Unassigned rather than disappearing.
  • Inactive stores in your point of sale are never suggested.
  • Adding a location is billed like any other location on your plan. When adding one would charge you straight away, you are asked to confirm first.
  • Days are calendar days in UTC, so a sale late in the evening in the Americas can count toward the next day.
  • Revenue includes tax and tips. It is what customers paid, not your net sales.
  • Top Selling Items uses the item names your point of sale records, so the same dish under two names shows as two items.

If something goes wrong

  • Sales is not in the sidebar. No point of sale is connected. Connect Square in Settings > Locations.
  • A location shows no sales. Its store may not be linked yet. Look for the Review & add banner, or the Unassigned chip, and link the store.
  • The numbers look different from your point of sale's own reports. Check the range (the last 7, 14 or 30 days), and remember that revenue here includes tax and tips and days follow UTC.
